bubble bath


My niece is turning 5 years old in about three weeks and when my sister told me that she was giving her a princess themed birthday party I knew that it was the perfect party theme for my niece. She may only be four years old, but that little girl is not only treated like a princess in their home, but there are times when I actually think she believes she's a princess.
 
When she spent the night with me about a month ago, she asked if she could use my bubble bath when it came time to take a bath. I wasn't sure if my sister allowed her to use bubble bath so I asked her if she thought her mommy would mind, and she quickly informed me that she had her own bubble bath at home and she used it almost every day when she bathed. I couldn't help but laugh, because she was so matter of fact about it, as though I was speaking to a 15 year old, and definitely not a 4 year old. Needless to say, I poured a little of my favorite bubble bath in the tub for her and she enjoyed every moment of it.

When I started thinking about birthday gifts for my niece, I knew that I didn't have to look any further than bubble bath for her. When I asked her why, she said that Michelle had seen something very similar in the store that very day and she told her that she didn't need any bubble bath so wouldn't buy it for her. She said she almost gave in, but now she was glad she didn't, because the gift would be even more special, especially since it was coming from her favorite aunt who spoils her rotten. I'm guilty as charged and can't wait for the party and to see her face when she opens the bubble bath.
